In 2015, I truly noticed the prevalence of emoji usage as a replacement for actual humanity. I started Filmojis to act as a time capsule for the real life human emotion that inspired all of these kitschy icons. While this project has experienced an extended hiatus, it will be a lifelong goal to create a video archive for the W3C official list of emojis.
