Since the 1990s, the NBA has relied on ping pong balls to determine the Draft Lottery – the order in which teams will pick players in the NBA Draft. Franchises are built or buried based on the bounces of these little white balls.
For the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery, the Golden State Warriors had the best odds at a Top 5 pick due to having the worst record the previous season. But after appearing in 5 straight NBA Finals the seasons prior, we wanted to frame up the Draft Lottery as something more than a gift due to poor play. We wanted our fans and competitors to know that the harder we worked, the luckier we got. So, we created this film to show that our position was one of fate, decided in the halls of Chase Center, and completely within our control.
